Japanese ww2 marine katana sword. The overall length is 37-1/2 inches with a 25-1/2 inch blade that looks to be in excellent plus condition with no damage or marks and retains much of its original polish & temper line, the old tang is signed on both sides & is also markde in japanese arsenal blue paint lettering (see pictures). It has an iron tsuba, the habaki is copper or brass, the menukes rae the normal cherry blossom design over ray skin with typical marine handle wrapping! The scabbard is a japanese marine ww2 original in nice condition that retains most of its original green color. This was a ww2 bring back that was recently purchased from the naval vet's family.
